Halfaya oil field, located 35km south-east of Amara in the Maysan province, is one of the biggest oil fields in Iraq.
The onshore oil field is operated by PetroChina, a subsidiary of China National Petroleum Corporation (CNPC).
PetroChina holds 37.5% stake in the field, while the other development partners include Total (18.75%), Petronas Carigali (18.75%), and the Iraqi state-owned South Oil Company (25%).
Rumaila oil field lies close to the Kuwait border, approximately 50km west of Basra in southern Iraq. At 1.5 million barrels of oil a day (Mbopd) capacity, it is the world’s third biggest producing field and delivers approximately one-third of Iraq’s total oil supply.
The giant onshore field, which has been producing since 1954, is still left with an estimated 17 billion barrels of recoverable oil reserves.
West Qurna-2, located near Basra, Iraq, is one of the world’s biggest onshore oilfields. The project is owned and operated by Lukoil (75%) and North Oil Company (NOC, 25%), the state-owned company of Iraq.
The onshore project is being developed in two phases, the first of which was commissioned in March 2014. As of April 2019, total production from the first phase of the project was 100 million tonnes of oil.

In Kurdistan, DNO have recently completed two wells, Peshkabir-9 and Tawke-52 which are already in Production. Testing of the first Baeshiqa exploration well targeting the Cretaceous reservoir has been delayed by extensive rainfall but is also expected to commence this month.
In-Line Inspection (ILI) and Material Grade Determination (MGD) for line 5 from Mombasa to Nairobi in Kenya. Line size & length is 20″ & nearly 450 km respectively. This pipeline is commissioned in 2018.
